Ingersoll Gender Center

Ingersoll Gender Center is an organization of, by, and for transgender and gender diverse people that provides mutual support through peer led support groups, advocacy in navigating resources, community organizing, and education — all in the pursuit of collective self-determination.

STEEP

STEEP’s focus is to address the economic injustices communities face by supporting trans and gender diverse people in the Greater Seattle Area on an individual level to build economic stability through gainful employment or entrepreneurial efforts. The vision is to dramatically reduce the negative economic impact experienced by transgender and gender diverse people as a simple result of being who they are, transitioning in the workplace or in some way not conforming to gender norms.

They host a STEEP breakout group the first Wednesday from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Seattle Counseling Service that will focus on issues related to the challenging job market and the special challenges faced by trans and gender diverse people.

Peer Support Group

Our trans led peer support group has been meeting every week no matter the weather or holidays for over 40 years. Our peer support groups are the foundation of all of Ingersoll's programming, and also provides a great place for trans, genderqueer, questioning, friends, family and community allies to come together for information and mutual support. Currently, we meet every Wednesday from 7pm - 9pm, at the offices of Seattle Counseling Service at 1216 Pine St #300, Seattle, WA 98101.

Saturday Social Group

Every Saturday from 12pm-1:30pm we meet at Ingersoll’s office space. This is a group to build community and have fun! This group is not intended as a support group (though many people find this supportive!), but rather as a safer space for trans people to meet up and get to know each other. If you have any questions about the accessibility of our office please feel free to email us at info@ingersollgendercenter.org or check out how to access our space here.

No need to RSVP - hope to see you next Saturday!
