Goodwill’s job training and education programs. This center is aimed at growing Everett's workforce with well-trained and committed employees. The Everett Goodwill center programs provide job training and education programs to people in the community, as well as help finding a job. All of the Classes and Services offered by this program are free of charge.

They offer FREE classes in a wide range of subjects, including English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Computers, GED Preparation, and Retail and Customer Service.

Registration is open March 6 - 16 for the March 20 class session. Please note you must register for classes before the session begins.

Goodwill Vocational Training Programs

Vocational Training classes and programs provide specific training for particular job fields. Learn skills that are applicable to working in retail, cashiering, and customer service. Sign up on site to receive email news and program/class information from the Everett Job Training & Education Centers.

  • Retail & Customer Service Program: This is a nine-week training program that helps program participants build the skills that they will need to work successfully in a retail environment. The program is a combination of seven weeks of in-class instruction and the final two weeks is on-the-job training in a Seattle Goodwill Retail Store. On completion of the program the job center will assist with participants job searchs. Read more 

  • Cashiering & Customer Service Classes: These classes teach the customer service skills, basic math and counting skills, and cash register procedures that you will need for entry-level cashiering positions. 

  • Warehouse Logistics Training Program: If you want to learn about warehouse and logistics enrolling in this program can help you obtain the skills and hands-on experience you need to work in the industry and provide you with a certification after successfully completing the program. 

  • Industrial Vehicles Training Program: This program trains participants to become a Class A (tractor/trailers) or Class B (dump truck crane truck, cement truck) driver through the Industrial Vehicles Program. This is offered in Seattle. English for Speakers of Other Languages ( ESOL CLASSES)

The Everett location offers classes that teach English and focus on improving existing English language skills. These classes are free of charge and will help you gain the language skills you need to thrive in work and life.

We offer English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) classes at basic and intermediate levels for people who want to develop basic English literacy and improve their English language skills. Classes are held two to four days a week and last 90 minutes to two hours. Computer labs are available for ESOL students who want to use Rosetta Stone to work on their English skills at their own pace.

  • ESOL - Citizenship Test Preparation
  • ESOL - Level 1
  • ESOL - Level 2
  • ESOL - Level 3

ESOL Cashiering and Customer Service Program:

Career Pathways Program

The Career Pathways Program prepares students to take that next step up towards a community college or a technical training program. We support you during your transition and throughout your first year of community college so you can successfully complete your studies and earn a degree or certificate.

This Program is currently only offered at 

Career Pathways prepares you for college with Community College 101. We then support your next steps as you transition to community or technical college and throughout your first year in school.

In Community College 101, you will:

  • Explore different career opportunities
  • Create a career and training plan to address your short- and long-term goals
  • Be guided through the enrollment process
  • Get help finding funding for college, including applying for financial aid
  • Learn good study skills and habits
  • Take tours of local community colleges
  • Get individualized support from our staff

No GED or high school diploma is required to sign up. The six-week class is offered four times a year and ends before the next quarter begins in the community college system, allowing you to take your next career steps immediately after completing the program.

Once you complete the class, you will receive ongoing support for your education along with special scholarship opportunities from Seattle Goodwill.

Basic Skills & GED® Test Preparation Classes

This Everett location offers classes for students who want to strengthen there math or writing skills our Basic Skills classes are for you. The writing class provides instruction in workplace writing as well as academic writing. Math classes are basic to intermediate level, ranging from place value to percentage problems. The is meant to help students fill gaps in there education and to prepare them to take the GED® test, and the basic skills classes are also used to prepare for participants for work or other Goodwill job training and education programs.

Goodwill offers GED® Test preparation in all four subjects of the test, including: test-taking strategies, digital literacy, and practice tests. The GED® Test is now a computer based test, and we offer computer classes to help you prepare.
Classes include:

  • Writing
  • GED® Test Preparation

High School 21+ Program

This is a program that allows colleges to grant high school diplomas to individuals that are 21 years or older. Goodwill will help students with the process of  choosing and enrolling in the program that works best for them. Individuals interested in High School 21+ programs must be 21 years of age at the time they receive their diploma. This is a individualized navigation service to help potential participants to:

  • Obtain and review your high school transcript
  • Identify work-experience and life-experience you have that may qualify for high school credit 
  • Match you with the HS 21+ program that meets your educational and personal needs
  • Assist you in applying for scholarships and financial aid for college and technical institute classes
  • Manage your credits toward a high school diploma
