Psychiatry at Ryther in Seattle, Mukilteo and Bellevue

Linda C. Ford, MD and L. Elina Durchman, MD and Ritu N. Gandhi, MD comprise Ryther’s team of child and adolescent psychiatrists providing evaluation and treatment of attentional disorders (ADHD/ADD), anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance use as well as behavioral and relational problems in youth ages 2 through 23.

Behavioral & Psychiatric Solutions for children, teens and families

As parent or caregiver, you are an important team member in the care and treatment of your child whether he or she faces mental health challenges, drug and alcohol abuse, behavioral issues or Autism Spectrum Disorder diagnoses. Ryther’s dedicated and caring professionals bring their knowledge and expertise together from within the disciplines of psychiatry, psychology and individual, family, group or experiential therapies as well as chemical dependency treatment.

Teen Drug and Alcohol Assessments and Treatment

Ryther provides a broad array of programs designed to address the individual needs of adolescents using drugs and/or alcohol and their families, as well as those with co-occurring mental health issues. The offer the Standard Drug and Alcohol Assessment as well as psychiatric, substance abuse and mental health assessments. We now also offer parents a session about the Warning Signs of Substance Abuse. Programs include Level 1 Outpatient Counselingand Ryther’s Co-Occurring Program. When you call They will:

  1. Determine if an assessment is needed
  2. Check your insurance coverage and let you know of any restrictions or limitations
  3.  Schedule the first appointment to include evening hours Monday – Thursday as well as some on weekends

Ryther bills most insurance plans directly.

Autism Assessments & Diagnostics

Ryther clinicians are offering evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorders for children, teens and young adults. Evaluation tools available for specific assessment of ASD include: Autism Spectrum Rating Scales (ASRS); Autistic Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI-R); Autism Disorder Observation Schedule (ADOS); Child Autism Rating Scale (CARS); Social Communication Questionnaire (SCQ); Gulliam Autism Rating Scale (GARS); and, the Gulliam Asperger's Diagnostic Scale (GADS). Collaborative Coaching

Ryther’s home-based aftercare services help families sustain success during the transition from a wilderness program, boarding school or residential treatment center. They apply integrated approach to early intervention support and coaching for young adults.
